The Comissão Nacional do OIV (free translation: OIV National Committee) (OIV – “Office Internacionale de la Vigne et du Vin”) is responsible for the interconnection of the Portuguese wine sector with the OIV organisation, which is responsible for defending the interests of wine producing countries. OIV is a scientific and technical intergovernmental organisation whose functions extend to the vine and any product obtained from grapes.
