The agricultural company of Horácio Simões is a family business whose main activity has been the production and selling of wines since its creation by Mr. José Carvalho Simões over a century ago.
The traditional wine knowledge was passed out to the three different generations who introduced innovative procedures and technology in the production and creation of today’s wines. Until recently, all of the wines produced were sold only in barrels.
In 2000, the company undertook a major restructuring and modernisation process in order to launch the bottling of its own wines.
