Announced as a big red from Portugal, Callabriga Dão 2005 was rated 90 points in the weekly publication "Wine Spectator Insider".
After having received more than 20 medals in only 6 international competitions in 2008, Callabriga’s range has now got the attention of one of the most influential wine editors in the USA.

Kim Marcus describes Callabriga Dão 2005 in Wine Spectator as, “a ripe, rich and powerful red, with concentrated flavors of blackberry, dark plum, smoke and spice. A long finish of blueberry and dark chocolate”.

Callabriga is the result of four years work by Sogrape’s winemakers to develop a truly New Wine from the Old World, offering the consistency and approachability of a new world wine brand, but with the individuality and heritage of Portugal.

Created in each of the three most recognised wine growing regions in Portugal, Callabriga’s range today consists not only on entry level wines, but also reserve, offering the consumer a total of six wines, with one grape variety in common – Tinta Roriz.
