100 points for Taylor's Scion by Robert Parker
Just released the rare pre-phylloxera Tawny Port - Taylor's Scion - will delight the most demanding palates.
“Scion is undoubtedly an incredible tawny port in the loosest definition of the Word”,”an unforgettable elixir”, “a very unique tawny, one of those jaw-dropping moment when you thank God you quit that insurance job all those years ago”, these were some of the comments of Neil Martin, Port wine taster for Robert Parker, who gave the maximum score: 100 points.

“Scion may be one of the last great representatives of a lost viticultural era, in what is perhaps the best appellation of origin in the world – Port Wine", says Taylor’s Managing Director, Adrian Bridge.  "Few Appellations of Origin have wines which have spent fifteen decades in oak casks able to amaze the world", he adds.

A Port so old, rare and remarkable in its ability to withstand the passage of time, that its discovery represents a landmark in the history of wine.  One of the last survivors of its age to reach us in perfect condition, Scion is a monument to a lost era, the period before Phylloxera devastated the vineyards of Europe changing them forever.

The french have the fame, we have the wine!!!! After having worked several years with the best world wines, I have to admit that we Portuguese make many of the best wines in the world, but the others have the marketing machine!!!
