CVRVV promoted Vinho Verde in Canada

From May 19th to the 21st, the Comissão de Viticultura da Região dos Vinhos Verdes (CVRVV) went up to North America for another series of promotional activities. The first stop is Canada, where occured two days of wine tasting for professionals and consumers.
On the 19th, Guénaël Revel a renowned sommelier attended the wine tasting. On Thursday, the 20th, revenue from sales tickets of the Vinho Verde wine tasting reverted to the Montreal Children's Hospital.

The fresh and low alcohol content of Vinho Verde are two important assets on a market as demanding as Canada. Aware of this, CVRVV promoted a set of wine tasting activities which attracted hundreds of professionals, sommeliers, journalists importers and many consumers.

On the 19th of May, the activities were dedicated only to professionals in the wine sector that had the opportunity to exchange ideas with Vinho Verde producers and participate in a series of seminars and tastings led by Guénaël Revel, a renowned sommelier and wine writer of Canada.

On May 20th, the wine tasting was directed only to consumers and will primarily aimed to raise funds for the Montreal Children's Hospital. The unit price of the ticket is $ 75, and are expected about 1,000 consumers.

The distinctive and original Vinho Verde, associated with a healthier lifestyle and its low calories, is gaining more supporters in Canada, and therefore it's a very attractive market for firms of the Vinho Verde region.
